A summer blockbuster exhibition nobody wanted to miss!

The exhibition took place from Wednesday 6 June– Sunday 22 July and opened Sundays 12-4pm for the duration of the show.

Bricktropolis was an interactive LEGO® brick show that towered over the competition, with over 20 stunning models of world landmark towers and buildings each with an awe inspiring scale - unlike anything seen in Scotland before.

Visitors experienced the history of human endeavour in the built environment, taking them from Kilmarnock to the landmarks of London and New York and on to the glittering skyscrapers of Shanghai and Dubai. Walking amongst the towering LEGO structures provided lots of Selfie opportunities and the chance to interact with key models. Many of the buildings included illumination, sound effects and movement.

The spectacular LEGO show was specially built by Bright Bricks, the only accredited LEGO builder in the UK. After it's showing at the Dick Institute, it went on a global tour following its Kilmarnock unveiling.

Budding LEGO engineers spent time in the huge brick pit and built their own towers, castles and buildings with the help of staff. Challenges were set each week and LEGO prizes were awarded, within various age groups, for the best structures created during the run.

[Tickets: £5 Adults &  £2 for U16’S and visitors received 20% off in the cafe at Dean Castle Country Park with a Bricktropolis ticket.]
