LOVE YOUR LIBRARY – joining the library is free and the benefits are priceless!
Your local library may have changed significantly since you last visited.
Love all of this…
200,000+ books, with 15,000 new titles each year including fiction, poetry, photography, art, sport, reference, graphic novels…and more! If we don’t have what you’re looking for ask about our request service.
We have also recently introduced BorrowBox which gives you access to eBooks 24/7 direct from East Ayrshire’s library catalogue. You can also download the free BorrowBox app which incorporates a dedicated eBook reader and is available now from the App Store and Google Play - install the app on all your mobile devices and start enjoying free books straight away. You can also access a large range of e-magazines from RBDigital
If you can’t make it along to your library for any reason, the mobile library makes regular visits to every district of East Ayrshire and our Homewords service caters for library members who are housebound.
As well as offering a wide range of books covering many different subjects, we also provide a range of services such as free internet access, computer courses, DVD hire, printing and photocopying, and a range of events and activities for all ages – see your local library page for specific services available in your area.
Membership is free and open to everyone in East Ayrshire – simply bring 2 forms of ID one with your name and address and one with a signature OR a photographic driving licence/photo ID which includes your name and address. Young people’s membership must be guaranteed by a parent/guardian.
Library members and visitors can use laptops, mobile device and phones to access free Wi-Fi at the following libraries
